How efficient is your furnace?

Furance efficiency is measured by Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, or "AFUE". Modern high efficiency systems can have a AFUE of up to 98.5%. Older systems can be as low as 56%.

Results
A heat pump with a COP above 3.39 will be cheaper to operate than a furnace.
